A Christmas winter wonderland at Royal Victoria Place

With so many ways to enjoy a day of festive fun, you can be sure there will be extra special ways we’re bringing the magic of Christmas to Royal Victoria Place this year.

Meet our fun festive friends – the beautiful Christmas Clockwork Ballerina and Flower Girls – who will be spreading Christmas cheer and giving a warm welcome to visitors during weekends in November and December. Or look out for our special North Pole Porters on Saturday 18th December, who will be on hand to help carry your Christmas shopping and treat you to a candy cane.

There will also be the opportunities to design a beautiful bauble to hang on your Christmas tree at our Bauble Bar on Saturday 4th and 11th December, or join us for a jolly singalong, with a host of merry choirs and brass bands playing classic Christmas carols throughout the festive season.

See the Christmas welcome page for full details.

Visit Santa’s Grotto

Your children can meet the man himself at Royal Victoria Place this Christmas, with a visit to our Santa’s Grotto. From 13th November up until Christmas Eve – and at just £7 per child – treat your little ones to a trip to see Santa and an early Christmas present.

There will be a professional photographer on hand to capture the special memory, and you can even have the photograph put into a keyring, bauble, snow globe or glitter frame – the perfect Christmas gift for a grandparent or loved one!

To avoid disappointment, all visits to the Santa Grotto must be booked online in advance, so make sure you don’t miss out!

Christmas family activities

If you’re a family with young ones looking for Christmas indoor activities, enter the world of play and imagination with them at one of the many Gymboree Play & Music classes. Offering fun-filled developmental classes for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers, the sessions combine music, movement, props, imaginary play and custom-designed and patented apparatus.

It’s one of the best places to visit in Tunbridge Wells with kids, and there’s sure to be some Christmas themed classes to get you into the festive spirit.

Support our Christmas charities

We’re supporting the amazing work of Trinity Theatre and Hospice in the Weald this Christmas.

Trinity Theatre is more than just a theatre. It aims to improve the health and wellbeing of the Tunbridge Wells community through initiatives like its Trinity Encore choir for those living with dementia and Senior Cinema Social which helps to break the cycle of elderly loneliness. The theatre group also delivers communication activities to local schools through its Youth & Learning team.

Hospice in the Weald provides compassionate, personalised, and holistic care for the community of West Kent and Northern East Sussex, completely free of charge. The hospice strives to ensure that no one within the community faces the challenges of living with terminal illness alone or unsupported – and works hard to deliver outstanding care provision and services to patients and their families.

Help us to help these very special causes by donating £3, £5 or £10 at our Giving Box. Located on the Lower Mall, outside Fenwick, you can use contactless payment to easily donate.
