The Gift of Giving Back
In 2022, we want to continue giving back to some of the amazing people and charities that do such wonderful work in our community.
We know that charities across our communities continue to need our support more than ever, so our giving boxes are here to stay!
Located on the Lower Mall, outside Fenwick, visitors can use contactless payment to easily donate £3, £5 or £10 to Hospice in the Weald or Trinity Theatre.
Thank you for helping us to continue to support these amazing organisations. Find out more about their work below.
Hospice in the Weald
For over 40 years Hospice in the Weald have been providing compassionate, personalised, and holistic care for the community of West Kent and Northern East Sussex, completely free of charge.
Hospice in the Weald strives to ensure that no one within our community faces the challenges of living with terminal illness alone or unsupported. We are here for patients from the time of diagnosis to support and care for them every step of the way.
Hospice palliative care is provided across each of our five services, enabling patients and their loved ones to make choices that are right for them. They can access any number of our services and many access more than one. Be that support from our teams in Counselling or Hospice Day Service, in the community from the Hospice Outreach Service, In-Patient care at the Hospice in Pembury or at our Cottage Hospice in Fives Ashes.
Despite all of these services being available completely free of charge to patients and their families, it costs over £7 million each year to provide them and this simply wouldn’t be possible were it not for the generosity of our supporters.
Every pound donated, enables us to deliver the outstanding care provision we pride ourselves on, to those who need it, making a huge difference to many hundreds of patients and their families each year.
Trinity Theatre
Trinity is more than a theatre. We want to improve the health and wellbeing of Tunbridge Wells through our community outreach programme.
Our initiatives include, ‘Trinity Encore,’ a choir for those living with dementia; ‘Senior Cinema Social’, aimed at breaking the cycle of elderly loneliness in Tunbridge Wells; and communication development activities delivered into schools by our Youth & Learning team.
The covid crisis and social distancing will impact us in many ways. We are doing everything we can to secure our future, but we need your help to get through this global crisis. Your donation WILL make a difference and could be intrinsic to our survival.
