ROYAL VICTORIA PLACE ARE LOOKING FOR AN AMBITIOUS AND OPTIMISTIC BACK OF HOUSE AND CAR PARK CLEANER TO JOIN OUR SUCCESSFUL CLEANING TEAM!

This post is for a full-time (40hrs) position.

The successful applicant will be assigned 5 shift out of 7 but must be flexible to support extra where necessary.

Shift times are 8:00am-5:00pm and 9.00am-6.00pm

The successful applicant will be professional, confident, and well-presentable whose primary role will be to clean and maintain key back of house, service areas and car park within our busy shopping centre. The role primarily consists of cleaning and maintaining the following:

Manual handling tasks such as pallet collection and stacking, use of pump trucks, refuse compactors, transporting & emptying large bins etc

Operating cleaning machines and equipment such as scrubber dryers, rota-sweepers, powered litter-pickers, jet-washers etc to clean large areas efficiently (training to be provided)

Performing manual detail cleaning, high level cleaning, sweeping/dusting, mopping, litter picking, emptying of bins, removal of bird guano, structural cleaning (e.g. car park crash barriers), graffiti removal, weed & moss removal, toilet area cleans where necessary etc.

Following safe work practices when undertaking cleaning duties and reporting any identified hazards to the Cleaning Supervisor

Communicating any suspicious behaviour or potential security risks to the Cleaning Supervisor and/or Control Room

Adhering to all health, safety and procedural policies to ensure a safe working environment

Toilets and washroom surfaces

Lifts

Columns/banisters/handrails/railings

Duties:

You will also undertake:

Spillage mopping

Litter picking

Emptying of bins

Manual detail cleaning

High-level cleaning

Sweeping/dusting

We also ask that you:

Use chemical cleaning solvents and consumables as instructed to complete allocated cleaning tasks

Follow safe work practices when undertaking cleaning duties and reporting any identified hazards to the Cleaning Supervisor

Adhere to all health, safety and procedural policies to ensure a safe working environment

Communicate any suspicious behaviour or potential security risks to the Cleaning Supervisor and/or Control Room

Royal Victoria Place (RVP) is located at the heart of the historic spa town of Royal Tunbridge Wells in Kent. RVP boasts a great selection of shops and is home to some of the town s biggest brands including department store Fenwick, plus an enviable line up of shops including M&S, Next and many more.

RVP is open 7 days a week until 6pm weekdays and Saturdays. Sundays 10.30am to 4.30pm
